3 SMART WAYS TO DE-STRESS DURING TEST SEASON!

Many students are now taking their final exams for the school year. This can be a very stressful time! Putting yourself under too much stress without doing fun things can be detrimental to your health, so we’ve put together three easy ways to reduce your stress during this difficult time! 

  1. Exercise. Any form of physical activity that raises your heart rate will release endorphins and reduce your stress! Dancing, running, or even jumping jacks will do the trick. 
  2. Do nothing. Often, when students take a break from studying, they scroll through their phones. Your brain still has to process all of those images and text, so you’re not really giving it a break! Try doing absolutely nothing and just listen to your breathing or look out the window to truly unwind.
  3. Call a friend. Whether you’re commiserating or just chatting, socializing is shown to reduce stress and boost happiness. Don’t go through this test season alone; talk to someone!
