5 TIPS FOR HAVING A GROWTH MINDSET

If you have a growth mindset, you know that you are not limited to the cards you were dealt with. You are excited to learn, and always looking for ways to improve your skillset. This way of thinking does not come naturally for most, so we’ve gathered five tips to help you become this kind of can-do person: 

  1. Believe in your potential. You can reach any goal you want if you put in enough effort. 
  2. Be patient. Effort is only one factor; you will need time to improve. Everyone improves at their own pace. Just keep at it! 
  3. Let go of negative thoughts. If you want to grow in a healthy way, you have to accept yourself for who you are. Don’t judge yourself, and don’t let others judge you. 
  4. Embrace challenges. If you’re faced with something that makes you fear failure, you should probably go for it. It will be an amazing learning opportunity. 
  5. Find your Why. You can do all of the things above, but if you are working towards something that isn’t actually meaningful to you, you are wasting your time. Make sure that you are pursuing growth for yourself only.
