I thoroughly enjoy tutoring math. I started tutoring since high school and have continued to tutor math into my professional career. In my career, I have worked in IT and networking field, as contacting project supervisor, and currently a quality manager for USCIS Potomac Service Center but my passion has always been with tutoring/teaching mathematics.
I graduated as a computer engineer from George Mason University with over 10 years of experience tutoring primarily in mathematics. I have worked with elementary school, middle school, high school and junior-college students. The bulk of my experience includes homework help and general discussion/explanation of various concepts. However, I’ve also taught summer SAT Math enhancement classes.
My main focus is to help the student with their needs and academic goals. If a student still has difficulties, questions/concerns that weren’t addressed during allotted session times, I will make myself available. It is important to me that the student feels confident in the subject matter, and is major factor in determining the success of my sessions. I aim to instill confidence by engaging students and promoting critical thinking so that the students develop an understanding and can apply mathematical concepts both in academia and personal life.
Currently, I am tutoring the following subjects: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, SAT Math, and Physics. Feel free to contact me and I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
