I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Craft and Material Studies in 2019. During my time at VCU, I studied Earth Systems Science, Archeology, Algebra with Applications and took classes in Weaving, Woodworking, and Textile Design. Since graduating, I have held internships at arts non-profits in the education departments to develop and strengthen teen programming. I have held teaching positions in art institutions and have led independent workshops centered around combining the fields of craft and technology. I believe that the best way to learn a subject is to follow your natural interests and find everyday applications to the material. I make an effort to provide ways of bridging new information a student may need help with to ways they can apply it to their own life. At the end of the day, my top priority is to make the students’ tutoring experience invigorating and fun overall.
