Hello my name is Jennifer Hoang and I am currently going into my first year at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as a General Engineering major. I am a quality-oriented tutor with valuable professional skills such as adaptive teaching methods, lesson planning, and student assessment. In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as adaptable by my professors and peers. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven communication, creative thinking and leadership skill. I am passionate in helping students improve their analytical problem-solving skills and understanding their learning materials thoroughly so that they can apply their obtained knowledge for any problems they tackle. I am well-versed in core subjects such as math, science, reading, and writing, but specialize in teaching Calculus, Algebra, and math SAT prep. With my four years of experience tutoring a wide range of ages and subjects in the National Honor Society and AkaKid, I am extremely adaptable to different learning styles and am able to create lesson plans customized to how the student learns best.
