I am a 2020 graduate from the College of William and Mary where I majored in History and European Studies. Currently I am attending the University of Illinois to pursue a masters degree in Library Science. I have been a tutor with Akari since Fall 2017 and am looking forward to helping many more students in the years to come. I am particularly passionate about history, but the majority of my tutoring experience is in English. I am especially interested in helping students with their writing. I am willing and able to assist with my students’ essays and writing assignments in any subject even if I am only tutoring them in one specific subject area because I believe that developing good writing skills is crucial to success. My passion for language also extends beyond the English language. I am fluent in English and French and can also speak Arabic, Polish, and some Czech. Outside of school and tutoring I can usually be found playing field hockey or working in the archives as a research assistant.
